Partner Highlight

Family Meal is proud to partner with Sutter Health to launch an innovative, population-based food security pilot focused on individuals enrolled in or eligible for CalAIM Community Supports. Grounded in the belief that food is medicine and that hunger is a health issue, this initiative aims to expand access to nutritious, culturally relevant, restaurant-prepared meals for vulnerable populations. While current access to Medically Tailored and Nutritionally Supportive Meals is often limited to those with chronic illnesses, this pilot seeks to demonstrate that providing healthy meals more broadly can improve health outcomes and reduce disparities.

“At Sutter Health, we believe that food is medicine. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Family Meal—a groundbreaking program addressing food insecurity by working with local restaurants to deliver nutritious, culturally relevant meals to the most vulnerable members of our communities. This is more than a program—it’s a movement—and we’re honored to support its growth and impact across our region and beyond.”

- Keri Thomas, Vice President of External Affairs, Sutter Health
